We booked tickets from Sastasafar/Tripodeal via Booking # SSF00763096 from Srinagar to Delhi for 30th Jun'23 for 6 passengers in SpiceJet and was charged INR 36705. We were inform before less than 24 hours ago that the flight has been cancelled and we need to book another flight by paying 15K extra. To which we denied and requested for refund, the airline and the Sastasafar Agent Ms. Lakshmi both confirmed that the full amount of INR 36705 will be refunded. But instead they refunded INR 31495 and when checked on the reason of the partial amount, they informed that they have deducted convenience fee and tax. When no services were availed by us and we did not initiate any cancellation why should we pay convenience fee and what for?
Should we pay convenience fee for the inconvenience of cancellation at the 9th hour, unable to find tickets, pay double charges and the anguish, pain and harassment we had to go through. The manager Mr. Ankit at the travel company was very rude and was not ready to hear anything. We would want full refund as we would have happily paid the convenience charges+tax if we would have availed any service. Overall pathetic customer experience and a fraud travel company. BE AWARE!
