I bought a Philips hair dryer on Myntra and I received it on October 19th, 2023. I opened the package as soon as I received it and checked the product’s working condition to see if it’s fine. But turns out it’s a defective product wherein the product had buttons for levels of heating and cool shot button but no buttons were working. The second I switched it on, it got overheated too soon and I had to switch it off immediately and keep it down. I tried switching it on after sometime and twice after that but the same problem exists. None of the buttons are working and it’s getting overheated the minute I turn it on.
I tried to opt for an exchange as return wasn’t available to me but I was not able to exchange as it kept on saying that both my addresses are not available for exchange. I raised this as a concern to Myntra customer care team and they had logged it under product used category and then later said they did quality checks and denied earlier use of product. They even denied the return or exchange as exchange wasn’t available to my location. They shared Philips customer care num. I contacted them and Philips asked me to contact Myntra again as I bought it from their platform and I can only contact them for any return or exchange.
None of the Myntra customer care persons are giving me a proper solution to help me with my return or exchange. I lost more than a 1000 bucks and I don’t know why I need to tolerate this. They shouldn’t be doing this to their customers without providing solutions. There is an exchange available to me but still they don’t take steps to do that also. My hard earned money is going waste and I can’t allow this.
Kindly take immediate action against Myntra for making a fool of their customers by denying them their right to return or exchange a defective product on arrival! I can’t even use the product as it might be dangerous to me or my family members due to its defective functioning. I’m scared to use it.
