Copying the content from the complaint mail as below. I had purchased a 2630 Protton refrigerator on 11/05/2020 from the Adishwar store Chikmagalur (Bill attached).
We have observed that the fridge is functioning with a loud (some motor kind of) noise for the last few months and the power consumption reading in the electricity meter board of the house is extremely high when the fridge is on.
I had complained at the adishwar store on 9th/10th of April this year and a technician (Amit- [Protected]) visited the house on 11th of April and replaced the thermostat and the relay for which we were charged 3700/-.
Following the service we could see ZERO change in the noise or the power consumption that the fridge made. Hence I started requesting them to visit again but after a gap of 1 long month another technician (Name not known - Phone: [Protected]) was sent on 14 May.
The technician examined the whole fridge very professionally with tools and said the problem is with the compressor and he even showed us some reading using equipment near the compressor saying the power consumption is too high and needs to be replaced at the earliest.
He even said that the thermostat and relay are replaced when the food gets over-frozen or gets rotten or stinks when preserved in the fridge(which wasn't our complaint at all!!!).
I was shocked to hear what he said because the technician who visited us in the beginning replaced the thermostat and relay for no good reason and charged 3700/- which went to utter waste as per the examination by this technician.
And the when i spoke to The whirlpool customer incharge in chikmagalur Somashekar - [Protected], he said the same technician Amit who had replaced thermostat and relay who again replaced something else and left in my younger brother's presence, unfortunately I wasn't at home at that time.
When i came to know, i called back somashekar on what has been done to resolve the issue he just confidently threw a crap statement over the phone like "This is the first time we are getting complaint on fridge making such noise and consuming more power.
So we we have to replace the parts one by one and keep fridge under observation until issue is resolved. We are done with the thermostat and relay now we have replaced so and so, let us know after a few days "I mean, Really!!! How insensible and unprofessional?
Is this what the technicians are trained to do! or Do they think that the small town people will not know much and they can do anything to cover up or address complaints?
Because it is highly unlikely to happen in Bangalore for sure and if it happens and a customer gets to hear that statement we all know what will be the outcome.
I was stunned to hear that disagreed with what he said and I have been asking him to get the compressor replaced but then he stopped picking my calls.
But, when I call from a different number he picks the call and says he will call back but he never does that and never picks the call if I use the same number again. Finally on June 14, after talking to Amit he asked to share the compressor picture and after we sent it he said the compressor has been ordered and we will replace it soon.
I have neither got any call from them after that nor they are picking up my call. I even registered a complaint- BAN[Protected]with customer care IVRS on 29th june, got a call back from chikmagalur whirlpool office on 30th from Mamata ([Protected]) who listened to the concern and said she will call back but she never did! I called her in the morning and noon on the 1st and 2nd of this month and she said she will call back in an hour and never did.
The same happened today as well!!! How unprofessional is this? Does a customer of a big brand like Whirlpool really have to go through hundreds of unsuccessful follow ups?
I never even imagined this. Won't there be any follow ups from your end for the complaint to check if it is resolved/pending, not even a single follow up ????? I somehow collected the contact number of the regional Whirlpool manager Muttu-[Protected].
And called him up with a huge hope and to my disappointment that guy says, the replacement of the thermostat and relay was done as there was an issue and we cannot do anything about it now! And says you can do whatever you want to do(am attaching the audio recording as well- Listen to the way he responds without even letting me speak.
How he even disconnects the call without any conclusion). Well, he wasn't even part of the resolution process from the last two and half months and still says the parts were replaced due to the issue, how is this even possible?
What a disappointing and disheartening service is this from a well known brand like Whirlpool? I have been trying to get it resolved for the last 2 months and 20 days and still cannot even get to talk to any service person?
