TATA Motors: Complaint For Tata Harrier XZ+ Model 2021

I am Rohit Thakur from Sarkaghat, HP. I purchased Tata Harrier ( XZ+ Model 2021.) from (PMG Mohali ) in (December 2021). During the second service, the vehicle started showing the signal for the Airbags indicator. I contacted the Mohali agency regarding this issue and they asked me to visit the branch.

I had to specially come from Sarkaghat to Mohali, which is around 200 km and had to stay in a hotel for about 5-6 days. This wasn't been told by the agency Service manager Sunil that it will take about 5-6 days.

Even on the 4th day, I had to pressurize the agency people to hand over the vehicle as I had to return back. To find this issue with the sensor, they opened the entire vehicle, and still, they couldn't diagnose the issue.

Finally, they found the issue which was in the sensor. When making the vehicle again, the agency people showed shabby work - the dashboard and all the fittings were improperly done with gaps in the closings, the cap of airbags (right) was missing, issues in the horn scratches on the infotainment system, and damages on its button.

I when I re-informed the issues about the agency, they told me to come the next day as the agency was closed for the day. The next day, they called me again which I avoided as I couldn't trust the engineer the second time.

The very same day I returned to my hometown because of an emergency and I complained about toll-free no. The next day, the Quality heads, Abhinay Kaushik, and Sanjay Mehta called me and told them about the shabby work and the parts that were missing.

I even sent them the photos to show all the issues. I was told by the agency they would appoint a team to check and mend the issues in my hometown (Sarkaghat). The team visited me at my home and resolved all the issues.

However, they couldn't clean the scratches on the infotainment system and resolve the armrest issue and noise issue by replacing the steering. The next day, after they have gone to fix the steering than my car suddenly started blowing the horn, for which I called the agency again.

They asked me to disconnect the battery to temporarily stop the beep. Further, they told that they would be sending the engineer soon. Since the horn was blowing continuously, I had to call a local serviceman who came and removed the battery.

In the evening, the team from the agency came from Mandi and found that the wiring underneath the horn was being pressed. This happened because of the steering replacement done earlier by the Mohali team.

At this time, they fixed the beep issue but it caused another issue in the horn. It was producing some kind of noise when I was pressing it. I visited Mohali again to show them the noise in the horn which they were unable to fix and the left side ac issue in the back seat (a new issue arose) which was resolved by them.

After a few days of all this, when I was traveling to Pune (date), the car again started showing the airbags sensor issue. In the middle of my way, I had to connect with the Quality heads, Abhinay Kaushik, and Sanjay Mehta.

This issue arrived recurrently throughout my journey. As I reached Pune, the issue escalated for which I took my car to the Pune agency. I had to make strenuous efforts to connect with the Pune team to consider my issues as they were taking it lightly initially.

They took my car and temporarily provided me with an alternative vehicle for my convenience. Currently, they are working on the issues and have resolved most of them. When I went there to take the final delivery and took a trial then the same airbag issue again arise.

After all that I have suffered financially and mentally, rather experienced with the so-named TATA company, I show my extreme disappointment. Although a major part of the issues are resolved, I am concerned about how long will my vehicle stay in good condition?

How can the company ensure that such problems won't arise in the future? And if it happens, what solution will the company give? I want the company shall give me a new product so that I do not experience such situations again in the future also.

I have lost my trust in the service capabilities of the company and do not believe that I'd get reliable support in the future. I also doubt that I had been given a defective product at the time of my purchase which is why the sensor issues

I bought this vehicle in December 2021 and till that time I have visited 5 times in the agency and still, the vehicle is under service. Looking forward to your response.
