Indian Railways: Penalty Asked For Railway Fault

neeru_0610 13th of Jan 2022
SAGAR, Madhya Pradesh, India
I booked a parcel(no.[Protected]) from DELHI (NZM) to Saugor on 26/12/21…that was with ref on my ticket on same day, i got info from NZM parcel office that i ll get informed by Sms when my parcel ll get loaded from NZM n delivered to Sagar, i reached Sagar but my parcel didn't load that day n no fixed time frame was there.

After 3-4 days i started tracking online but every time i was getting same that parcel not loaded from NZM. So i called on 139,there i made complaint n then i just asked to call on 0[Protected], i tried on that no. but that no. was busy always.

After calling for 3 days call connected once n somebody asked me to call 139. I told him that i have already talked on 139 but representative disconnected call. Then i again called on 139 but every time got complaint no.n Same response. Then i tried to track but again same info. parcel not loaded.

Then on 9/01/2022 i got a call from Sagar, n somebody told me that my parcel rchd in Sagar on 1st Jan, n i can collect. Then next day i reached parcel office then they started asking for 900 bugs as penalty.

but the thing is that i didn't get any info of loading n delivery of my parcel n also time frame was also not fixed so how cud I imagine that my parcel reached. also i was continuously trying to track so that was not my fault.

If railway system has not made me informed by Sms then it's not my fault n i won't pay anything because that was not my fault. what is d benefits of online system then. even all were giving excuses for the railway system n treating badly as I did a big fault to use railway parcel service.

All were sending me here n there as i was alone n single lady n people from parcel dept were so manner less. i did whatever i told at NZM parcel office by d person who booked my parcel

I cud not dream about your system issue n also they were asking me why I didn't come to Sagar railway station to track parcel rather than checking online and following instructions given in NZM.

I don't know why don't they think practically is it possible to go railway station every day in so much crowd specially in covid conditions where govt is asking to avoid going to crowed places.

Even when I came back from Delhi I had fever n all that cud b covid but fortunately that was not. I did that was feasible n whatever info i got when I booked parcel so i won't pay any penalty. So i need my parcel without penalty. That is the issue.
