I have order multi product total 20 times from Amazon online store on 11 Sep, 2022. However, delivered has been done for 19 items except one mentioned below. Very next day I have called customer care and raised issue where Amazon executive confirmed me on call he has raised refund request and my refund amount Rs 1054 will be credited/deposited to my in few days. On 23 Sep.

When I noticed I have not received the money back into my account I reached out customer care and they stated as per company policy they cannot issue refund because I reaching out to them after 5 days moreover they also disagree to accept that every next day post delivery when I contacted the customer care with issue of missing item they do not have any refund raised against my name and it my fault that I have not followed up in 5 days hence policy is expired. I have asked them to check my previous call recording to ensure it is there executive error not raising my refund and I have been asked they cannot as it’s not possible. After continuing call of 60+ min they have issued a refund which will credited in 2-4 business days with lot of pushed back.

I believe this is purely unprofessional and fraudulent activity wherein company taking money in advance by customer and not refunding money for not delivering then product. I am educated hence I able to push for my money but I worried for my many fellow Indians who are not educated enough about consumer rights and end up getting losing their hard earn money.

I hopeful my complaint with consumer forum will help these industries to inculcate better policy around consumer grievances which will result in fraudulent by these big industries players to be minimize.
