This complaint is against the chennai pallikarnai electricity board office. I am residing in the same address from past 5 years. Though i have paid full bill amount religiously every month, the eb officials r forcing us to pay 83k more for a mistake that they made while counting the meter.
This they found today that they did not take our meter count properly. Due to this they now want us to pay the full amount to them. Staffs in the office do not take out time to talk properly with a problem solving intention.
We tried speaking to Mr Ramesh who sits in front of the system , he gave us only 2 option bluntly that is pay either pay full in one go or in 3 installments. The amount of 83k strangely is still not reflection on the official portal.
When their official Mr. Shyamraj came to inform us about this he wanted us to settle in cash. He said if we pay him in cash in that very moment he will give 50% discount.
When whole country is fighting this pandemic and going through financial crisis it is a corrupt practice to do so. When we denied and said we will speak in the office,the offer of 50% got cancelled.
And now they want us to pay full amount regarding this we also spoke to their senior ms menaka gandhi (AE) she also did not assist us infact said the same thing.
The meter is working fine, we are paying the bill, still why are we harassed for a mistake that they have done? So inhuman, irresponsible & unprofessional.
