IndiGo Airlines: Rude Behaviour Of Indigo Airline Staff

Dear Indigo Support Team In-charge
I, Commander Shanker Roy, an Indian Navy ( Veteran), writing this mail to you regarding misbehavior of one of your ground support staff at Mumbai Chatrapati Shivaji Airport.

This incident happened on 13 Dec. I along with my wife traveled from Kolkata to Mumbai by Goindigo Flight No 6E 318 and landed at Mumbai Airport at 0655 Hrs. My PNR No RHEIJY.

My wife is having severe spinal problem and as such her walking is restricted. Considering this fact I had booked a wheel chair while taking the Air Ticket. But on landing at Mumbai I was denied a wheel chair.

When I enquired from the ground support staff he rudely replied that no wheel chair is available and so my wife has to walk down up-to the arrival point. Instead of apologizing me about the non availability of wheel chair he behaved very rudely.

When I requested him that my wife is sick and can't walk such a long distance and as such let me sit in the Air craft for a little while till I get a wheel chair. But he was not in a listening mood and forced us to vacate the Air Craft immediately and told me and my wife to walk down to the arrival point.

It is pertinent to mention here that in front of me few passengers were given wheel chair. I have not understood why this discrimination. If there is a shortage of wheel chair he should have requested me to wait for a minute in the Air Craft till next wheel chair comes.

But it was absolutely improper for him to dictate that we should walk down. This type of behavior is not expected out of a staff of a professional Air lines like Indigo. I have been flying by Goindigo since many years but I never faced such problem.

It is pertinent to mention here that I had identified my self as an Ex Defence Officer and a war veteran but even after this identification he was arrogant and displayed absolute rudeness, which is completely unacceptable.

I request you to take strict disciplinary action against the erring personnel so that your other staff members get a lesson as to how to behave with the passengers and that too with a Defence Personnel.

Please reply me quickly vide return mail about what action has been taken. In case I don't get any suitable reply from you soon I will be forced to report this matter to DGCA and Civil Aviation Ministry.

I will also go ahead to publish this incidence in all National Leading News papers which will tarnish the image of Goindigo very badly. Looking forward for a quick reply from your end.

Dear Indigo Team Support, I , Pramod Manmode , is a frequent traveler of Indigo but first time ever has faced such situation where i am about to board my flight but suddenly stopped by a ground staff of Indigo name Mr. Nowal Sheikh at Nagpur Airport and he started misbehaving with me without any reason and there was no support from other staff standing around. This happened on 29.Aug.2023 ,Morning flight of Indigo from Nagpur to Mumbai, flight number 6E 6529.
