Flipkart: Wrong Invoice Of Product And Denying To Take Responsibility

I had purchased a mobile device [Model: POCO X2] from Flipkart authorized seller [Vision Star] on Feb 13 2020, the invoice of which had the IMEI number that is different from that of the actual device.

And I had failed to notice it during the time of purchase. Recently, I have had a problem with the device and the brand has agreed to replace the device with a new one since it is an issue with the product itself and was mentioned to be not repairable.

And to proceed with the replacement, they wanted to verify the invoice and only then did I come to know about the IMEI number mismatch. Since the seller has informed Flipkart that it is not possible to generate a new invoice for the product since it had been purchased two years ago.

The brand had asked for an email from Flipkart stating that this product had been purchased from them, along with the IMEI number in the invoice and that of the actual device.

But the Flipkart customer service had strongly denied that they won't be able to provide such an email, even though they know that this is something for which they are responsible.
