On date Saturday 12th March they called me on mobile number [Protected]. The time was 16.18. They claimed to be from ICICI Credit Card division. They said I was due for an amount of Rs.19560/~ as bonus points amount for using my ICICI credit card. They asked me to confirm my date of birth, so I gave it.
Then a message came with an OTP for the transaction. I noticed that it was a purchase transaction, therefore I became suspicious. When they asked me for the OTP, I cut the call.
Then I saw a message on my SMS that I had been charged Rs.19560/~ for this transaction. Immediately I got a call from ICICI Credit Card division asking if I had authorised this transaction.
I informed them that I did not authorise the transaction, therefore they blocked the credit card and gave a commitment to investigate this transaction. Immediately after this, the said persons gave me another call, on mobile number [Protected]at 16.34 hours.
The caller again claimed to be from the credit card section of ICICI. He requested me to provide credit card details and said once this transaction was over, I would be credited Rs.19560/~ in my credit card account for the bonus points that had accrued.
As we were conversing, I received a message on SMS from Razorpay with an OTP. The caller asked for the OTP. I refused and cut the call.
