Dear Sir/Ma’am,
This is to bring to your notice that Rs 25000 has been withdrawn fraudulently from my Indian Bank Account no [Protected]via ATM Card. It took place on 19th may, 2022 at around 11:55 am from Indian Bank ATM located in B Block, Indira Nagar, near Sai baba Mandir, Lucknow- 226016 which comes under the jurisdiction of Gazipur Thana, Indira Nagar, Lucknow.
Two people came inside the ATM booth when I was trying to take out money from the ATM via my ATM card ending with 6450. As I was having problem in my transaction, they forcibly offered me help and in the process exchanged my ATM card with a forged one.
They secretly saw my pin while I was entering it. I was unable to take out any amount of money from my card as now I was having a forged ATM card which was exchanged during the process.
As soon as I left the booth, I received the following sms on my mobile: "Rs.5000.00 withdrawn at ATM ID:2405EP04 , EPS_INDIRA NAGAR LUCKNOW on 19/05/22 12:07 from Ac:XXX766488. Bal:13733.71 CR. Always use INDIAN BANK ATM to avoid charges“
I instantly ran to the bank to update my passbook and check the transactions as I haven’t withdrawn even a penny and had no idea that the ATM Card I am having now is not mine.
There I found that 3 transactions were done by that person who tried to offer me help in the ATM which amounted 10,000, 10,000 & 5000. The Transaction id of it were [Protected], [Protected]& [Protected]respectively.
The Passbook read “ATM WDL SWQ NO 21391 SELF-EPS_INDIRA NAGAR”. Total of 25,000 was fraudulently taken out from my Account with no. being [Protected]via my ATM Card ending with 6450.
With the help of the bank, I instantly blocked my account for any further transactions. The Balance now is Rs. 13,733.71 which was Rs. 38,733.71 before the incident happened.
Therefore I request you to please look into the matter, try to catch the culprits by extracting footage from the CCTV camera, take necessary action against them and help me recover the amount for which I will be obliged.
