HDFC Life Insurance: Payout Not Paid, Due Payment On 06 Feb 2022; HDFCLife.com

Ref to Payout of my Policy Policy no: [Protected]with HDFC Life. My Payout was due on 06 Feb 2022 and I have submitted all documents in their online portal in the year 2021, but they kept on asking to submit documents.

I started to get automated emails pertaining to pay out for some time. I have paid all my premiums (except 1st premium, which was paid via Cheque, from the same account) via ECS mandate from my NRE account with HDFC Bank Jadavpur branch.

I have submitted my documents to their [PROTECTED]@HDFClife.com a number of times, thereafter submitted all documents via their Agent. In the process, they took more than a month to respond to me.

They asked me to provide proof that the account is NRE - same was provided - email from the bank manager. Later they ask me to provide proof that payment was done from the NRE account, I have provided Statements as I have received from HDFC Bank ( in text format) but after 2 weeks HDFC Life asked me to provide a Statement on HDFC letterhead.

I have gone back to HDFC Bank, they have not responded for a week, later they signed and stamped on the printouts of statements from 2012 to 2020. The same was submitted to HDFC Life on this Monday but I have not received any response from HDFC life.

I have given an option to do the Payout in my NRO account, that too they did not acknowledge. I am totally frustrated both with HDFC Life and HDFC Bank, although Bank Manager tried to help little, they can do with HDFC Life's requirements.

On the other hand, HDFC Life knows my account details as premiums were paid by ECS mandate. I am sure they will wait for 5-7 days and will ask for something else.

I understand that timely Payout is my right, now I demand that they must complete Payout in 2 days with interest from 06 Feb 2022. I have written to the complaint section of HDFC Life but no one replied.

I have written to HDFC Ombudsmen ([PROTECTED]@cioins.co.in) but no response. I have written to everyone at the HDFC Grievance Redressal ([PROTECTED]@hdfclife.com: [PROTECTED]@hdfclife.com, [PROTECTED]@hdfclife.com) but no one has responded to my concern.

I HDFC Life will have to pay me but they must pay interest and I would like to file for further like to sue for further Rs 20 lakhs for the time I have spent for my Payout, torture, and mental agony I am facing.
