I had a saving cum locker account with Canara Bank for which they are saying the rent was not paid during Covid time in 2019 and I deposited the amount with the penalty in account in June 2021 which they did not deducted and put a hold. I again requested to deduct the amount and I want to close this account.
They manually closed this account in June but did not removed this hold on the account, due to which I was following up regularly and personally visited and submitted the two applications for closure of this account but till today nothing happened as the Branch head was not able to remove this hold on the account.
I had a FD as security of this locker account which also I told them to credit in this account and take your funds and close this account. THE ACCOUNT STATEMENT IS NOW SHOWING A HOLD FUND OF 15000 WHICH WAS 7413 IN JULY AND AUGUST.
I NEED TO CLOSE THIS ACCOUNT AND REQUEST YOU TO KINDLY CHECK WHY THIS AMOUNT HAS BEEN KEPT INDEFINITELY FOR HOLD AND WHY THEY HAVE NOT TAKEN THEIR FUNDS WHEN THERE WAS A CREDIT IN ACCOUNT AND I AM NOT ABLE TO DO ANY TRANSACTION IN THIS ACCOUNT.
I HAD KEPT AN AMOUNT OF RS. 7500 FOR THEM TO DEDUCT THIS RENT AND PENALTY WHICH THEY SHOULD NOT TAKE AS THE ACCOUNT HAS ALREADY BEEN CLOSED MANUALLY IN JUNE AND WHATEVER IS DUE FOR 2019 THAT ONLY SHOULD BE DEDUCTED.
