I was sanctioned an expenditure limit of Rs.1.25 lac on " No Cost EMI" basis by Bajajfinserv. The limit was to be utilised for online shopping through Bajajfinservmarkets.in.

I browsed Bajajfinservmarket.in and choose the item named "Queen size Bed" in one of their screen of website of bajajfinservmarket.in. The said screenshot is attached herewith.

It is mentioned inter alia in that screen that the bed will have its width of 188 cm. The cost of yhe item was INR 35999/- including all charges and taxes. On confirmation of the order from my side Bajajfinserv paid out of the said limit of Rs.1.25 lac an amount of Rs. 35999/- to its associate M/S ASHOKA FOAM MULTIPLAST PVT LTD, the seller of the bed.

The bed was delivered through a courier in a packed condition. I accepted delivery without opening the huge two packets said to contain the ordered bed and signed the acknowledgement in the copy of invoice handed over to me by the courier and returned the invoice to him.

On receipt of delivery confirmation engineers arrived and unpacked the bed and then assembled the bed in my house. Only after that I could measure the dimensions of the bed and found that the bed is smaller then the dimensions shown in the aforementioned screen.

It was 163 cm in width where as its width as mentioned in the said screen should be 188 cm, thus the bed is smaller by 25 cm. I took up the matter with Bajajfinserv through emails.

And after nearly two dozens of email and telecalls I was informed that policy of the concerned company does allow return of the bed under the circumstances described above.

I therefore, demanded pro-rata reduction of price. That too was rejected and I was compelled to bear the loss.
